excellent book.
Imbued with the Kate Furnivall style and panache. excellent book .
Loved this book
I loved this book. It was well-written and kept my attention throughout. Unfortunately, I could not put it down once I started, so I ended up finishing it quickly. The main characters were very believable, and I liked the setting, as well as the historical facts such as the mystery surrounding the murder of Sir Harry Oakes that were woven throughout the story. This was the second book by this author that I have read (the other being "The White Pearl"), and enjoyed both of them very much.
Disjointed
I liked the story line, however I did find it a little disjointed, not free flowing as I would like, I had to try and read a whole chapter at a time, as each chapter was related to a particular character. Overall I enjoyed the book, and I will look forward to another book written by Kate Furnivall.
The Far Side of the Sun: A great read.
This is another of Kate Furnivall's books with great incite into the life and times of the characters. She has done her research and is able to depict the history of the setting with great detail.
Very interesting and somewhat historical.
There was a lot to get through, but if you do, the ends starts like a tornado and just keeps you locked into reading.
