The fast is ending but the war is not. In fact, the most dangerous moment of a fast is not during the fast, it is right after it because fasting exposes the flesh but a fasted lifestyle crucifies it. In Mark 9, Jesus told the disciples: “This kind only comes out by prayer and fasting.” Jesus did not say: “This kind stays out automatically.” Deliverance can be momentary. Freedom must be maintained. Satan is not intimidated by a temporary fast; he is threatened by a transformed appetite!
