Travel host and creator Jeff Jenkins joins Tigress in the Fat Spotlight to talk about a life lived on the road: from a childhood Greyhound bus trip that first sparked his love of adventure, to hosting National Geographic's Never Say Never, to a nearly year-long sabbatical that's made Bali a second home. Jeff gets candid about what it's like to travel the world as a fat Black American, why he now insists on giving every experience equal time to process, and how being the one who keeps showing up and inviting people in is the only way to build real community.
You can find Jeff Jenkins at chubbydiaries.com or on your favorite social media @chubbydiaries.
In each episode, we ask our guest to name someone who deserves a spotlight on what they’re doing in the world. Jeff picked comedian Devonte West. Listen to learn why, and find Devonte @_devontewest.
