1 Corinthians 13:4-5: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 

Song of Solomon 8:7: Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away.

The Lord demonstrated His love for us in John 3:16. He gave His only son. He sent His son to save mankind from sin. He loved us so we would love others. He forgave us so we would forgive others. He showed us mercy so we would be merciful. 

May the Lord help you to be patient with that difficult person, love that person who caused you so much pain, control your temper and emotions when you could have burst in anger, and cover up for that one who betrayed you.

May the Lord give you great grace to walk His word.
