Four diagnostics companies were told to stop sending at-home Covid tests.  The FDA thinks they aren't safe (less safe even than the ignorance of those customers who won't get any test).

John Tierney points out that the FDA is shaming itself now as much as ever with its over-cautious decisions.  As he puts it, the FDA is responsible "tens of millions of deaths."  Yikes.
