We’re featuring two interviews from the Indigenous Disability and Wellness Gathering hosted by Amy Amantea. The event was hosted by Indigenous Disability Canada and the B.C. Aboriginal Network on Disability Society. Amy interviewed Laranna Scott, the Indigenous Practice Advisor for The Family Support Institute in B.C., about her work with The Family Support Institute and the panel she participated in called “Expanding our Circle.” Amy’s second interview was with Richard Peter, the Indigenous Peoples Liaison for Praxis Spinal Cord Institute. Richard is the ambassador for the Indigenous Bridging the Gap program at the B.C. Wheelchair Sports Association and is a multi-medal winning Paralympian who plays wheelchair basketball and para badminton. Highlights:
