The Liberal government said it wouldn’t follow in the footsteps of U.S. President Donald Trump by cutting taxes. And it didn’t.  Those who hoped Tuesday’s federal budget would introduce measures to help Canada compete with a southern neighbour now enjoying lower personal and corporate tax rates will likely be disappointed.
