Picnic Series - Sunday Service - 22 August 2021

 

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labour on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.” Isaiah 55:1-2

 

This series is all about celebrating the God who invites us to come and eat at his table. Over and over again in the bible, images of food speak of God’s provision, his generosity, his openhearted welcome to those who are hungry. How often does Jesus choose to engage with people over a meal? Now he calls his people to extend this same generous hospitality to a hungry world.
