In the futuristic world of NewCity, everyone has super-abilities that fall into one of four power clans. When three 12-year-olds — Max, Ever and Charli — don’t fit into any single clan, adults they trust conspire to lock them away to prevent them from threatening the delicate peace among the clans. 

The three friends must work together to solve the mystery of their megapowers — and prove their differences are society’s best chance at survival.
