As a member of the Film Collective’s White Elephant Group Short Film Lab, Hansel Porras Garcia produced the short film 23 semanas, and as a founding fellow of the Third Horizon Forward Fellowship, he created "the short film "Ana y la distancia," which is now in the film festival circuit.Hansel’s body of work is rooted in exploring Miami's Hispanic multiculturalism, focusing on the Cuban diaspora, weaving themes of identity, family, and migration into his storytelling.
