‘It is no measure of health to be well adjusted in an insane society.’
-J Krishnamurti
The world makes us think we’re crazy because the world is crazy.
In psychology, the term for this is ‘crazy-making.’ It’s typically reserved for someone in a dysfunctional family (though it doesn’t stop the system from diagnosing that person with an illness).
But what isn’t crazy about the world we inhabit?
It’s completely backward and upside down, violating natural law in countless ways, resulting in a perpetual catch-22: adapt and feel crazy, or don’t adapt and be seen as crazy.
The ways we navigate the insanity of the world as adults are the ways we navigated our crazy parents when we were young (let’s be honest; few parents weren’t made crazy by their parents, who passed it on from their parents.. and so on..).
Our parents act as the ’final boss’ in our healing because they were the first boss. Under their management, our natural desires, interests, joys (& boundaries) were rarely heeded.
The good news is, it’s never too late to set things right—to reparent & reschool ourselves—to become the boss of our own lives.
No matter how badly you were mistreated, neglected, or unseen in your family of origin, YOU—the pure, immortal awareness/consciousness that you truly are—can listen inwardly to you, the body. You can fully honor him/her/them.
It’s an incredibly simple and always available option.
A guy on TikTok commented on my video: ‘Does this mean I’m a real boy?’ I replied, ‘A real man!’ We need Pinocchio, The Sequel!
