Settle in y'all, we're on to chapters 11–20 of The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and there’s a lot to unpack. Avery lets Eve in on the game (but not out of the house), a visit to everyone’s favorite villain sparks another Jameson vs. Grayson showdown. Which is fine because this is how they say "I love you."

Nash is clearly in love with Libby, Libby won’t say it back, and Xander and Max have stuff going on that they're not telling us about which is super rude. Rebecca is sad again (we’re ready to fight), Oren has some elite Batman-in-the-shadows moments, and the list of suspects in Toby’s disappearance just keeps growing. At this point, we’re fully hoping for a surprise soap-opera ending..
