In the closing verses of chapter 20 of Revelation, John is given a final vision of the final judgment, when everyone who has ever lived will appear before the judgment seat of almighty and all-holy God and Jesus Christ, to answer for their lives. It is the appointment that no one can miss, a time of ultimate horror for the unbeliever, but a time when believers will learn, to their joy, that not only the guilt of their sin, but its shame as well, have been born by the Lamb of God.
