Colossians 4:2-4
“Not all men are called to be hermits, but all men need enough silence and solitude in their lives to enable the deep inner voice of their own true self to be heard at least occasionally. When that inner voice is not heard, when man cannot attain to the spiritual peace that comes from being perfectly at one with his true self, his life is always miserable and exhausting. For he cannot go on happily for long unless he is in contact with the springs of spiritual life which are hidden in the depths of his own soul. If man is constantly exiled from his own home, locked out of his own spiritual solitude, he ceases to be a true person. He no longer lives as a man.”
Thomas MertonMatthew 6:9-15Colossians 4:3-4

“Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary.”
St. Francis of Assisi“[People] will not read their Bibles, and we are called upon to live Christ so that as they read us they will see that there is reality in the gospel and the message we preach, because of the change that has come in our lives.”
Harry IronsideColossians 4:7-17Colossians 4:5
“The first Christians conquered the ancient world just by being Christians. It was their love for one another and their type of life that made such an impact upon the pagan world…. That is something to which we are all called and something which we can all do.”
Martyn Lloyd JonesJesus, I recognize that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins. I want to turn away from my sins and place my trust in You as my Lord and Savior. Please receive me now. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
