In Hebrews 10:1–18, the author brings his argument about Christ’s sacrifice to a decisive conclusion. The repeated offerings of the Mosaic Law could never remove sin or cleanse the conscience—they only pointed forward to something greater. In contrast, Jesus Christ fulfilled the will of God through a once-for-all sacrifice that truly takes away sin, perfects the believer, and secures the promises of the New Covenant.
This sermon calls believers to move beyond mere understanding and to rest fully in the complete and final sufficiency of Christ’s finished work. Because His sacrifice is complete, nothing remains to be added, and nothing more is required.
