There has been a recent argument among individuals who are on the spectrum and in other parts of the autism community on whether teaching social skills is good for individuals on the spectrum.  Many believe that teaching social skills is ableistic.  As an adult and professional who lives on the spectrum,  I believe there is a fine line between teaching social skills and ableism.   Here's what I have to say about that.
