I think The First Descendant gameplay looks better in the most recent reveals and info blasts. The latest First Descendant trailer on the PlayStation YouTube channel shows off a lot of great footage of gameplay, combat, and boss fights. I think the game is pulling from Destiny, soulslike games, and other looter shooter games.

Currently The First Descendant release date is unknown but there is a First Descendant open beta Sept 19-25. We will go to the official webiste and look at all of The First Descendant classes and their abilities.
