The First Note Where the Station Unravels

Listen Later

Luna's hand hovers over the controls in the 1959 studio, the lullaby looping its final note. The copy of her mother begs her to rewind to the moment before the first note—to undo the station entirely. But as Luna's fingers touch the console, she feels the station's resistance: the dials grow hot, the lullaby's first note repeats like a heartbeat, and the copy's voice distorts into static. Luna realizes she cannot simply rewind—the station will fight back. She must find the source of the first note itself, a sound older than the station, buried in the master record. The episode follows Luna deeper into the station's analog core, where she discovers a locked room labeled 'The First Note Archives' and a phonograph that plays a recording of a woman's voice saying her own name before the station stole it. But as Luna opens the archives, the station's hum becomes a scream, and she must decide whether to destroy the first note and risk erasing herself—or let the station continue its loop forever.
