I love this novel so much and I highly recommend it. When Mary Kate joins a special science class in 8th grade, she realizes so many climate struggles in the world around her. So many kids waste food at lunch. Lots of people buy new clothes that they never wear. Parents leave their cars running in the parking lot all the time. The worst part of all, though, is that the mayor won't listen to anyone about climate change! He seems to think the city is fine the way it is.
