The most important event in Mormon theology, is this: The First Vision. The first vision is where it all started for not only The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but also the Community of Christ, the FLDS, the Apostolic United Brethren, among other splinter groups. It’s often said that the Church stands or fall on The Book of Mormon, but I’d argue that it’s more important for the First Vision to be true, because if it’s truly God, then its true. But if it was Satan (as he can come as an angel of light and deceives), then the rest of Mormonism is a satanic religion.
