This seems like a great mindset… and don’t get me wrong it is. I typically have a warrior mindset. However one major flaw we have is we don’t give up… (the curse of loyalty) well thats good right? Not always. I Planted a church I should have given up on it a long time past it’s prime. I had a job I should have given up on a few years before the boss tapped my phone and fired me. I have had friends who I should have cut out a long time ago, but I just hate giving up. In the end they all cost me money, opportunities and peace of mind. What good is it to be a warrior if you don’t know when and who to fight, and or how long? The longest war in history was the Iberian war lasting 781 years. How can war go on so long? Because war is still profitable. There is a pot of gold that comes with that victory. Wait just a second, ask yourself… how much is the pot of gold worth and at what cost to me? I had a friend who wanted to beat a competitor so badly that he would low ball every bid just to keep this guy from getting any business. Did it work? For a while, but soon it cost him everything.

So you are a warrior. What is worth fighting for in your life? And at what cost? Do you know when to back off and retreat in order to fight another day. Do you know when to give up? There is nothing wrong with giving up or quitting if it is the best way to continue to follow your dream. (you may want to meditate on that one for a second) Dreams don’t come with a “this is the only way” label on them. How many businesses have had to pivot to stay afloat and then they boom because of it. I can name plenty. You might be the next one. Sometimes it is ok to fight until you find another way to win. There are truly very few things worth dying for when I think about it. My faith, my family and…. uh… yea thats about it. I like a good war story, but not if it costs me more than it was worth.
