On February 20, 2015, Jose Mendoza was shot and killed at his favorite fishing spot. Mendoza was a husband, father, and popular hip-hop artist from Corpus Christi who went by the name Flatline. The killer admitted to shooting Flatline but claimed the act was in self-defense. In March of 1992, a vicious murder in one of Fort Worth’s richest neighborhoods shook the community. Businessman and former banker Jack Koslow, along with his wife, former banker and patron of the arts Caren Koslow, were viciously attacked in their home in the middle of the night.
