People do more research when buying a car, buying shoes, and watching movies than they do when deciding whether or not to get a flu shot. Even the CDC and the FDA have done little to no regarding the safety and efficacy of the flu shot.  According to the flu shot manufacturers "No controlled trials demonstrating a decrease in influenza disease after vaccination with Flulaval have been performed".
