Welcome to The Fo0H Tribe Podcast, Where Men Can Be Men! This is season #4 episode #3 and we are gassed up to be here. The last two weeks we talked about PARENTS & GEOGRAPHY and how both of these variables will have an impact on early and late stage of child development. This week we are going over how the FINANCIAL STATUS of a family effects childhood development. 

I wish there was a different study I could share that went over the three different classes of financial status. Rich, Middle of the Road and Poor family income levels effect early childhood development but I wasn't able to find any research. So I settled on Wealth & Childhood Development. This research goes over in details how growing up in a wealthy family has it's advantages and disadvantages. We are going to have to draw our own conclusion in some areas since the majority of children in todays age don't grow up in a extremely wealthy household. You'll see what I mean as you listen to the episode.

I've found the process of researching the information to be very enjoyable and thought provoking and I'm already looking forward to next weeks. Welcome to The Fo0H Tribe Podcast, Where Men Can Be Men. This is Season #4 and our second episode. We are fired you are here. Last week we talked about the Parents and this week we are talking about Geography, the state you grew up in, the county you grew up in and the town you grew up in. Was it an urban environment or a rural environment? 

In this episode, we are going to keep everything at a high level, but we will dive in to seven different & unique differentiations that each state considers when evaluating the need for early childhood development needs. Prior to this point, I accepted these factors as dynamics I had to accept as part of where I came from. Although these seven unique areas are topics and issues local and state government consider when they put together a budget and is it even something the people in the town want. It will all make sense to you when you get into it.

It's my hope while you are listening this week that you begin to take into account how these factors may have impacted you at an early age and while you attended school. Was school easy for you? Did you have to study much? What services did your county, town or state you live support you if you had trouble learning differently? Did you get additional support? Did your parent have to really fight for these extra services or did you parent do whatever the school board or Principal suggest? How did not having additional educational services available to you impact how other students looked at you?

I remember having to read the Orange book at Ms. Coin's desk during reading class and I was the only student in class reading the Orange book. The Orange Book was for 1st grade readers and I was in 2nd grade, so that meant I was a dummy when it came to being on the same reading level as other kids in my class and they knew it. Kids in 2nd grade can be ruthless and some of them were and they made sure to tell me when we walked over to the cafeteria for lunch.

My goal for you and this episode is to provide a different perspective on how you grew up and where you grew up. If you feel compelled to review some of your early childhood development years at school, it's a good thing. You're going to just have to trust me on this one.

Welcome to Season #4 and our first episode. This season ( 5 - 6 weeks) we will be going over The Growing Up Stage from the previous season and the 5 different variables that can impact a child during their early childhood development. The five variables we will be discussing over the next 5 weeks will be.

The primary purpose for this season is to provide the listener with a new perspective on all of the five variables and determine for themselves how each one of the five variables influenced & conditioned their behaviors and/or emotional reactions towards the outside world, their parents, brothers and sisters and friends.

Within this Growing Up Stage we are being taught and conditioned by many outside forces that are out of our control. We don't get to choose these variables before we enter the world. They have been chosen for us and there is not much we can to change these dynamics. 

As I've stated before, I believe that everyones Growing Up Stage is unique to them. Ultimately confirming everyones own personal uniqueness. Your fingerprints are unique to you right? Well, so is your Growing Up stage and in order to understand yourself better and in more detail, I believe you owe it to yourself to take some time and consider reviewing your past. The Growing Up Stage starts the day you are born until the age of 24 to 32. It's a healthy exercise to consider if you're open to it. More to come on this also.

Welcome to The Fo0H Tribe Podcast, Where Men Can Be Men. This is episode #11 of Season Three. We are going to be going over, from a high level, The In-Between Men Actionable Personal Process and two of it's components. Following this, I'll spend some time talking about what we are going to be going over these upcoming weeks as we fead head into Season 4.

One of the areas I wanted to make sure I highlighted in today's episode is the fact that in the second sentence of Stage 2 of The In-Between Men description, I mention and the words "willing" and "compelled". Today I'll give you more context in how I'm defining them within this stage.

Furthermore, within the same description, I also mentioned "take actionable steps" and today I'll provide a high level overview of what those actionable steps might consist of. I will be able to share at least two components with you and the rest is in the process of being developed. Stay tuned to The Fo0H Tribe website for additional updates.

Consequently, the supports of the traditional male value system, often society, loved ones, family, friends and the individual man himself, downplay or belittle any work that empowers emotional and/or spiritual growth.

Definition: Overtime, In-Between Men gradually ACCEPT one or more aspects of the traditional male value system does lack emotional and/or spiritual substance. Although, men in this stage reject and deny the notion that any emotional and/or spiritual growth applies to them.

In-Between Men Stage #2 (Between the ages of 45 years old+)
Definition:  Overtime, In-Between Men gradually ACCEPT that one or more aspects of the traditional male value system does lack emotional and/or spiritual substance. Although, these men have becoming willing and compelled to take actionable steps to learn how to grow emotional and/or spiritually. Regardless of their outcomes, often these men feel graced with a "New Inner Perspective" on how to engage and interact with their family, loved ones, friends, people and the outside world. These men have reached "The Starting Point" on how to continue to learn and practice how to be "In-Between Men".

Welcome to the ninth episode of The Fo0H Tribe Podcast, Where Men Can Be Men!

In this episode we are going to talk about The "Growing Up" Stage as it relates to The In-Between Men topics we've being covering over the last 9 weeks.

The "Growing Up" Stage takes place from the moment you are born to any age between 24 to 32 years of age. I'll go over the details on why it varies during the episode.

What didn't want to do for this episode is try and come up with an all encompassing definition that every single male might be able to identify with. I took the high road, and tried to make it simple. Instead of trying to define what this stage is, I included my Top 5 variables that could impact how any individual might respond to dynamics during this stage.

The "Growing Up" Stage will be unique to you and you alone. Just like your finger print, I've never meet any two people who share the exact same personal story, I just believe it to be possible. So in this stage and over time you will slowly start to engage and interact with the world around you and create habits and form behaviors to confront and hopefully embrace the world.

I've sifted in another dynamic into this podcast that may or may not have been discussed or considered in the past. Based on my research, I've learned that the Pre-Frontal Cortex within a mans brain doesn't fully mature until between the ages  25 & 32. If you don't have any idea what the Pre-Frontal Cortex does in your brain then you are just going to have to listen to this episode.

Welcome to Season 3, episode #8 of The Fo0H Tribe Podcast, Where Men Can Be Men!

We coming almost full circle with our definitions of men, the various stages they can go through, the zones or categories of men and either ended up rejecting & denying or becoming willing and compelled to consider a different process of reviewing and discussing emotions.

Here is the definition of Stage #2 of In-Between Men, Overtime, In-Between Men gradually ACCEPT that one or more aspects of the traditional males value systems lacks emotional and or/spiritual substance. Although, these men have become WILLING and COMPELLED to take actionable steps to learn how to grow emotionally and/or spiritually. Regardless of their outcomes, often these men feel graced with a "New Inner Perspective" on how to engage and interact with their family, friends, people and the outside world. These men have reached "The Starting Point" on how to continue to learn and practice how to be, In-Between Men.

I'm not going to say much more about the process, you can listen to this episode and let me know if you have any additional questions or comments. My ultimate goal is to offer to men an option to consider among one or more approaches. I'm trying NOT to have any expectation on anyone's individual outcome. Men are free to consider and apply any approach they feel most comfortable with. I don't have a crystal ball.

Welcome to the thirty seventh episode of The Fo0H Tribe Podcast, Where Men Can Be Men.

This is a bittersweet episode if I'm being honest. I prefer not to talk about stages, times in people's lives when struggling could reach an to epic levels. It reminds me of Chernobyl and how arrogance and ballooned self-confidence can impact so many innocent people in a negative and harmful way. It's baffling if you care to ponder how everything unfolded that evening.

Like Chernobyl, if men (anyone really) bottle up emotions long enough and under so much pressure, things are bound to go astray. Maybe an untapped deep sea oil well is a better example?

In this episode, I'll touch on the grim reality of what happens to men who have been taught, "not to cry" or "show emotion" because it's unmanly.  How the long term impact of not giving men the tools and strategies at an early age to learn how to navigate through emotional challenges is detrimental to their long term mental health. This of course isn't anything new, we just keep trudging forward doing the same thing men for generations have always done. Continue to teach our youth to "not be p#ssies and to Man the funk up!"

I've witness first hand, loving, caring, honest and good man make the ultimate decision of ending their life way too early and it breaks my heart. It's extremely troubling friends and I believe, not necessary.

Within Stage #1 of In-Between Men, I hope to provide insight into why men reject and/or deny the notion they are worthy of working towards emotional and/or spiritual support/growth.

Welcome to the thirty sixth episode of The Fo0H Tribe podcast, Where Men Can Be Me.

This was the first week in a long time I needed the extra week to really get my thoughts down on paper and buckle in. It was a great process and still continues to morph and evolve over time, so please bare with me. Below is my overview.

• Stage #2 of Men (This weeks Episode) & Definition - At this point, some men "question," one or more aspects of the traditional male value system and have "come to believe" *ASTERISK one or more aspects of the traditional male value system does lack emotional and/or spiritual substance. *You will have to listen to the podcast to under the *ASTERISK and the three stage process of "Doing The Right Thing". 
• A critical dynamic that is primary aligned to this stage is men have learned and experienced first hand the intrinsic "Value" that comes from learning how to ask and answer any form of questions. I provide a more detailed overview of the context in how I'm defining the word "question" in the above definition.
• Men have become "convinced" they need to be doing a better job at providing any emotional and/or physical support to their family.

Welcome to the thirty fifth episode of The Fo0H Tribe Podcast, Where Men Can Be Men!

You heard me, "Where Men Can Be Men!". 

Building off from the previous weeks podcasts, this episode I dive into the Stage #1 of Men and break down the three different zones that men between the ages of 23-24 to 36-38 may gravitate towards. 

• The Semi Independent & Drive Men:
• The Some Where In-Between Men.
• The Shattered Men 
  • Angry Shattered Men
  • Self Loathing & Isolated Shattered Men 

The overall definition of this group of men is:
Men over time, regardless of their generation, ACKNOWLEDGE the traditional “male value system” is primarily focused on the man’s ability to provide. Consequently, the supporters of the traditional “ male value system” often, society, loved one, family, friends and/or even the individual man himself, downplay or belittle any work that empowers emotional or spiritual growth.

In last weeks episode we also discuss "Growing Up" and I shared on the Eps 34 podcast some of my memorable personal stories that had a profound impact on me. We didn't discuss much of the Growing Up Stage of men so I'll provide an high level overview here and will dedicate an entire podcast to the the "Growing Up" stage. 

The Growing Up Stage of men happens from the time you take your first breath as an infant until you turn 23 or 24 years of age. Your Growing Up Stage is going to be uniquely different than mine for obvious reasons. It just like your finger print, WE are really one of a kind and so is your Growing Up story. There are many dynamics that factor in to how you Grow Up. Race, family structure, brothers sisters, food, shelter, clothing, safety, emotional support, financial and the list goes on and on. It's way to long to list out and that's okay. Your personal experiences will define you and how you go about engaging and interacting with the world. To keep things simple, I've created three Zones within this Stage #1 of Men and they are broad for a reason and I'm confident as we progress we will add further details to each zone. This is a work in progress, please try and remember that. 

The entire purpose of the Growing Up stage is to help you identify any impactful life experiences. My only ask of you is to be brutally & painfully honest with yourself. Not me, not your mom, not your spouse, not your best friend....NO one but you. Since your Growing Up store is yours and yours alone, the very least you can do for yourself is to be honest. If you have reservations, then have reservations you can determine later if you want to share it with anyone. This is for you and you get to decide all next steps with your story.
