The malaise, the funk, the fog. Anyone who has been a follower of Jesus for a while can tell you that sometimes, in spite of our best efforts, it just settles in. It makes it hard to pray, hard to read Scripture, sometimes even hard to believe in God at all. Perhaps the most dastardly side effect of the fog is the isolation it causes. We don't want to talk about it with others for fear of what they might think of us, of what it might mean about us. The good news is, the fog always lifts eventually and you're not a horrible person. But rather than waiting for "eventually" to come, there are things we can do to burn off the fog more quickly and the more we practice this, the better we get at it. Take a listen and see if you resonate with our own experiences with the fog.
