Front Porch Politics was started for one reason. To be a sounding board for those who are the forgotten men and women of this country. The men and women who are private about their life. In a country that constantly makes everything about politics, we are still forgotten. It’s about principles, not a party.



The Constitution







Let me first begin by reminding everyone. The Constitution was written for “We the people.” Not our government. We the people. It was to remind our Federal government that we have unalienable right. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. We want to work, raise our family, and worship God. However, today a recent survey showed that only 1 in 5 high school students knew what the Bill of Rights is.



What Conservatives Stand For



If you listen to any of the news media that exist today you are told conservatism is dead. I openly admit that I am a dinosaur. I know the time-honored traditions I believe in may not be mainstream. What are those traditions? Dad’s matter. Family matters. America has foundational systems. To make America work we must have families, faith, and fight.



You may not can or want to always speak your mind. That is what I am here for. Feel like your friends may not agree with you? I have been there. However, I had enough. Let me give you an example.



I believe in all things we must stand for faith and family. If I cannot stand for God, what can I stand for? I believe that God ordained our country. If that offends you, okay. America without God is not America, and will not stand. It is that simple. Our national morals should be derived from our faith. Should babies be killed? Of course not, but we allow it, and I am for one sick of this.



Life and Moral Stands



Speaking of babies. The family is the foundation of everything 2nd to God. One man, one woman period. It is a God-ordained partnership. It is not easy, but a very rewarding one. My dad told me several times, “Marriage is the hardest job I have ever had.” Without God, you are already fighting a losing battle.



Our loss of these two foundational principles is what is wrong with our country. It is not spending, or taxes, or education. It is the loss of faith and family. God is principled. The family is principled. They are worth fighting for. It is a shame we ever have to fight, but we do.



The Rise of Donald Trump







The rise of Donald Trump was not because of who he was. The rise of Donald Trump came long before he announced. The tea party kicked this off. The everyday forgotten people of America became tired of the system we had. A government that disreguared morals, life, and liberty. We were sick of eight years of a President who was weak. A president who was selling out our country at every turn.



Do you remember the tour Obama made apologizing for America? What a joke. If you are an American, you should believe in our countries exceptionalism. We have given the world more than anyone, outside of religious beliefs.



My point is this. I’m glad McCain and Romney didn’t win. The defeat of these two was a wake-up call to you and I. A wake-up call that if we didn’t get our ship high in transit toget...
