In this episode, we shift our focus to the often overlooked reality that many juvenile offenders have also experienced victimization themselves. We explore the complex interplay between being a victim and becoming an offender, delving into the cycles of abuse, trauma, and neglect that can lead young people down a path of criminal behavior. Through interviews with experts in child welfare and case studies, we examine the ways in which the criminal justice system can better support and rehabilitate these "victim-offenders" and break the cycle of violence.
