I have to say that Garrett and Madi Smith are the icon of what a desirable family looks like. We all want to feel loved, acceptable, happy, safe, and free. While visiting with the Smith's my wife and I felt all of these feelings. And it wasn't just one visit, it was multiple visits and every one had the environment of freedom and encouragement to be our best selves.
So how do you and I make this environment our new norm in dating and/or in our current relationships? Tune in to find out how.
In today's episode we covered:
- The importance of understanding and becoming aware of each other's needs, and then how taking a proactive approach to meeting each other's needs builds a powerful and lasting relationship.
- We discussed how to meet in the middle on issues that are complete opposites
- How to work with in-laws in the relationship
- And how to communicate with each other in a way that creates this loving and safe environment that encourages growth.
This episode has really encouraged me to love better and to be more proactive in how I care for my wife and children.
Highlight for my single friends: The Smith's go over a lot of principles on how to make sure you are properly in love with someone BEFORE you get physical.
The principles taught in this episode are brilliant and I am a better person for being able to be a part of it.
