When most people hear the word "luxury," they think about wealth, status, designer labels, or extravagance.
As a neurodivergent woman, I've come to define luxury very differently.
Luxury is not the absence of responsibility.
Luxury is scaffolding.
In this episode, I explore one of my most viral conversations about redefining luxury through the lens of nervous system health, executive functioning, and support.
For years, I believed luxury was something to aspire to. Something beautiful. Something reserved for special occasions.
Today, I see it differently.
Luxury is the bellhop who carries your luggage so you don't have to navigate multiple bags, directions, elevators, and check-in procedures while already feeling overstimulated.
Luxury is the concierge who helps plan your itinerary so you don't have to make hundreds of small decisions while your brain is already managing sensory input, schedules, and social expectations.
Luxury is housekeeping that resets your room so you can direct your energy toward living instead of constantly maintaining your environment.
Luxury is convenience, support, and systems that reduce cognitive load.
It's not about doing less because you're incapable.
It's about conserving energy for what matters most.
Many neurodivergent women spend their lives functioning without adequate support. We become experts at carrying invisible workloads that other people never see.
We're managing schedules, emotions, sensory input, social expectations, household tasks, decision fatigue, masking, and countless other demands simultaneously.
Eventually, many of us begin to realize that what we crave isn't extravagance.
It's relief.
We don't necessarily want more things.
We want more support.
We want more spaciousness.
We want environments that work with our nervous systems instead of against them.
This shift completely transformed how I think about luxury.
A quiet home with natural light can be luxury.
Fresh, nourishing food can be luxury.
A cleaner who reduces executive functioning demands can be luxury.
A peaceful neighborhood can be luxury.
A flexible schedule can be luxury.
Supportive friendships can be luxury.
Time to rest can be luxury.
For me, luxury is no longer about appearances.
It's about creating conditions that allow me to function, thrive, create, connect, and exist without constantly operating in survival mode.
In this episode, we explore why support is not weakness, why scaffolding matters, and how redefining luxury through the lens of nervous system wellness can completely change the way we build our lives.
If you've ever wondered why certain conveniences feel life-changing, or why reducing friction can feel more valuable than acquiring more things, this conversation may resonate deeply.

Because sometimes luxury isn't about having more.
It's about carrying less.
A year ago, I shared a video about soft life after neurodivergent burnout that unexpectedly resonated with hundreds of thousands of womem. At the time, many people assumed I was talking about aesthetics, luxury, or opting out of responsibility. I wasn't.
I was talking about survival.
In this episode, I share what happened when my life completely unraveled after years of masking, overperforming, people-pleasing, and forcing myself to function in environments that were fundamentally incompatible with my nervous system.
One of the most surprising lessons I learned was that my burnout didn't begin when everything fell apart. It began long before that.
For years, I lived in a constant state of stress, hypervigilance, and survival. I was surrounded by relationships, expectations, and environments that didn't feel emotionally safe. My nervous system stayed in motion because it had to.
Then something unexpected happened.
I removed many of the people and situations that no longer felt safe.
And once my nervous system finally realized it was safe enough to stop surviving, it collapsed.
Not because I was weak.
Because I was exhausted.
For many neurodivergent women, burnout isn't simply working too hard. It's years of masking, adapting, performing, overextending, and trying to exist in environments that were never designed with our needs in mind.
The version of a "soft life" that eventually emerged from that experience looked very different than what social media often portrays.
For me, a soft life means:
• A quiet home with sunlight and fresh air.
Most importantly, it means accepting that my nervous system health is not something I earn after I've completed everything else.
It is the foundation that allows everything else to exist.
In this episode, I reflect on what burnout taught me, what rebuilding has looked like over the past four years, and why creating a life that supports who I truly am has become one of the most important acts of self-love I've ever practiced.
If you've ever felt like the world was asking you to function in a way that came at the expense of your well-being, I hope this conversation reminds you that there is another way.
You are not lazy or failing. You may simply be discovering what your nervous system has needed all along.

Sometimes healing is about creating a life that finally allows you to be yourself.
After nearly a year away from the microphone, this episode feels especially meaningful.
The last time I recorded a podcast episode, I was preparing to leave my home in Philadelphia. So much of my life was changing at once that I simply didn't have the capacity to continue showing up here in the way I wanted to. Since then, life has taken me on a journey I never could have predicted through grief, uncertainty, healing, rebuilding, and ultimately, homecoming.
Today, on the Summer Solstice, I wanted to return with a message that has been living in my heart.
Many of us have spent our lives tying our worth to our achievements, our productivity, our appearance, our relationships, our income, or our ability to take care of everyone around us. We learn to perform, produce, and prove ourselves. But what happens when life strips away the roles we've spent years perfecting?
Who are we when we're no longer achieving?
Who are we when we're not performing?
Who are we when we're no longer neat, convenient, productive, or easy to understand?
This episode is a reflection on the Summer Solstice, worthiness, identity, and the lessons I've learned over the last four years as life forced me to discover who I am beneath the roles I once believed defined me.
One of the most powerful truths I've come to understand is this:
Worthiness is not something we achieve.
It's something we remember.
If you've been navigating burnout, divorce, heartbreak, grief, reinvention, neurodivergence, midlife transitions, entrepreneurship, or simply trying to find your way back to yourself, I hope this conversation feels like a deep exhale.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for finding your way back to this space with me.

Until next time, remember:
The sun does not become worthy at noon.
It was worthy at dawn.
It is worthy at dusk.
It is worthy even when hidden behind clouds.
Its value does not change with its visibility.
Neither does yours.
At 18, I thought I was building a life.
In this first episode of 25 Years to Sovereignty, I take you back to the foundation:
If you’ve ever looked back and wondered why everything you built didn’t feel like home… this one’s for you.
What I believed about life, love, and leadership at 18
How survival masked itself as maturity
The cost of building from fear instead of joy
The first cracks that led to my awakening
