As we approach the final game of the 2025 BIG3 season, we get a chance to talk to both sides of the championship matchup.

This week we brought on Chicago Triplets’ forward Amir Johnson for the first time and recurring guest in Miami 305’s assistant coach Mark Grey.

While Amir looks to capture his third BIG3 title and make history, Mark is a part of a team making the championship game for the third time as he looks to get his first ring.

In this episode we talk recap their team’s seasons, discuss how they got to this point after gritty playoff performances last week, and touch on some of the keys to winning this year’s title game.

In the most competitive season of the BIG3, getting an opportunity on a team hasn’t been easy – especially if you’re a rookie.

But with the injury to Detroit Amplifiers co-captain and BIG3 goat Joe Johnson lingering longer than expected, Cameron “Beno” Smith will get his shot starting this weekend in Boston.

Smith, who’s played overseas, in the G-League, the TBL, and The Next Chapter, has been making strong headways throughout the basketball community as of late. He was recently acquired by the Amps for at least the next two weeks.

We get into his path to being a pro, playing on the TNC stage, maximizing this opportunity in the BIG3, building relationships, and more.

Shakur Juiston had arguably one of the WILDEST rookies seasons in the BIG3 in 2024.

After being recruited by Trilogy’s Isaiah Briscoe to play in the league, Juiston was ultimately drafted in the second round by the 3 Headed Monsters where he played with the Jeff Teague, Greg Monroe, and Brandon Moss.

Following six weeks of up and down chemistry, being released and re-signed the same week to the same team, suiting up for another team following that game, and then playing for a completely new team in the final week, Shakur was still able to make his mark and get drafted this summer.

Now as a member of the Detroit Amplifiers, Juiston is not only making the most of his opportunity but he’s showing the Amps’ owners and the entire league why he’s here to stay for years to come.

We get into his BIG3 career, flashback about his learnings overseas, and preview his expectations for Week 3 against Dallas.

Nasir Core being on a different team this summer was not on our bingo card entering the 2025 season.

Core, who is the reigning Rookie of the Year and 4th Man of the Year, was expected to be the No. 1 pick to the Miami 305 before Lance Stephenson joined the BIG3.

He ultimately went undrafted but was acquired by the Chicago Triplets before the season started. We go behind the scenes with Nas to talk about what really happened with Miami and why it might have been have been the best case scenario for him and his BIG3 career.

Isaiah Austin has accomplished just about everything since joining the BIG3 in 2021.

Drafted first overall, earned accolades, and won a championship. But when news broke late last year, that he was in the midst of his final season, it’s safe to say it was a bittersweet moment.

But we got the surprise of the summer, when Zeke announced on social media that he was back this summer.

Rocking new threads this summer, Austin is preparing for his first season as co-captain of the DMV Trilogy.

He returns to the show for his second stint to share why he was able to come back, thoughts on how the league has grown since he first joined, and why this Trilogy team has promise to win a league-leading fourth championship.

The BIG3 is having their best season to date due to the competitive play, exciting new players, and new streaming platforms. But there's a case to be made that new Courtside Commentator Rachel DeMita has definitely attributed to that growth.

Mark Grey’s not only became the assistant coach over the years after starting out as a fan of the team but he’s now one of the more integral members of this franchise.

Dazeran Jones didn’t start playing organized basketball until the 11th grade, yet found a way to the BIG3.

Jones, who started his career at NAIA Warner University, turned a one year opportunity into a whole career. Through basketball, he went from working at Pepsi to being in a movie and playing professional basketball.

“Duke Skywalka” recently made his BIG3 debut with Killer 3’s and we discuss his career, getting the opportunity to play in the BIG3, and his role now that he’s gotten his feet wet in the league.

Plus, we touch on which teams are the most dangerous halfway through the season and how Killer 3’s could knock off the defending champions Enemies in Week 5.

Chris Allen may be one of the most respected guys in the basketball community. Yet, to the outside eye, his name is one the people have to reach deep into their bag to remember.

After helping Michigan State to back-to-back NCAA Final Fours, Chris’ career has been as he stated “rocky” as a professional. From playing in various countries to negotiating his own deals, he hasn’t necessarily gotten a chance to show the world just how good he really is.
