Suitable for younger listeners
I loved this book. It is full of adventure, drama, intrigue and suspense. We've got kidnapping plots, pirate ships, daring rescues and romance.
The author weaves an exciting tale and a sweet romance together in a way that will appeal to all readers and is suitable from age twelve up.
I realised when I started this book that I hadn't read the second in the series however, each book contains its own story and romance without any cliffhangers and they can be enjoyed as stand alone novels.
I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy.
The Adventure Continues
Linda Weaver Clarke does it again, she takes us back to Cordovia on another quest to fight and maintain the freedom they fought so hard to get. This time it's the romance between Caroline and Jesse, who she does not know is the "Fox". There are many twist and turns, intrigue and a sweet 'clean' romance in this story and one you will enjoy. Whether you enjoy listening to audiobooks or reading Linda Weaver Clarke's novels will entertain and leaving you with a smile on your lips in the end
Good clean romance with adventure
I enjoyed this third book in the Rebel Series. I would rate it 3.5 out of 5, and am, therefore, rounding up to 4 stars. This wasn't my favorite book in the series (Book #2 holds that honor), but it was entertaining nonetheless. I feel like there was more potential for this one that wasn't utilized somehow. There are still lots of adventure and interesting situations, as well as interesting characters. I loved to hate Caroline's fiancee, and I loved Caroline and Jesee. I listened to the Audible audio version of this book and the narrator did a good job. I had a complaint that she sounded a little robotic in the earlier books, but I didn't notice it as much in this one. Maybe she got more comfortable with the characters. Overall, if you like clean romance, this, as well as the other books in the series, are a good choice.
Enjoyable Quest Story!
The Fox of Cordovia is a very enjoyable quest story by Linda Weaver Clarke that continues the adventures that started in The Rebels of Cordovia, an entertaining Robin Hood-type saga. In the first book, we met the daughter of a local baker, Robin, who secretly taught a small group of vigilantes to fight for basic freedoms against a tyrant king who taxed his subjects into extreme poverty. While no historical era is provided, I would say it is loosely based in the 17th Century. The Fox of Cordovia is the third book in this series and the lead characters are just as engaging as in the prior two books.
Caroline is the daughter of a doctor, a compassionate nurse, and the future wife of an aspiring politician. Her world comes crashing down when she overhears her fiancé plotting to overthrow the current government.
