Messing around in the GrooveBox app and decided to rework this classic masterpiece from Trent Reznor. I know the original track is amazing and doesn’t need to be altered but there is something so much fun about playing around with a song that I have loved and know backwards and forwards.

I ended up finding a really wild drum progression because of my Messing around. I had initially pushed the tempo WAY UP and made the song faster but slowing it down again allowed me to hear the drum track much better and paired with a few other drum tracks and delay effects you get what is heard at the end of the track. I’m going to use it somewhere else I can already tell.

Original track is from Nine Inch Nails. For such a simple key progression this as always stuck with me. The build up that leads into the following track on The Fragile album never gets old.

First time I heard this song I had to sit down with a keyboard and learn how to play it. I listened to the track until I figured it out by ear. Now whenever I see a piano or keyboard out in the wild I instinctually play this first.
