Pastoral Ministry is a job that should be done with your heart wide open. The person in that job should be someone you feel comfortable enough to grab a beer with, be vulnerable with, to really connect with on a deep level. The sad reality is many pastors have cut that side of themselves off. They quit leaning into the heart side of their ministry and have instead positioned themselves as a salesman, as a recruiter, as a human form of artificial intelligence.
