Mark 11:25-26

The Freedom of Forgiveness

Jesus talks about vertical and horizontal forgiveness.

God won’t forgive you for wronging somebody else if you won’t forgive somebody else for wronging you.

“Even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.”

Unforgiveness takes a toll on us mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Unforgiveness is like being in a prison.

What does forgiveness look like?

Forgiveness is not dependent upon the other person’s apology. It’s you releasing the wrong and giving it to God.

Forgiveness is giving up any notion of trying to get back at the other person.
