In the 1970s and early 1980s, a chilling pattern began to emerge along the freeways of California — a series of brutal crimes that would later be linked to multiple killers operating at the same time, hunting in the same shadows.
They would come to be known collectively as the “Freeway Killers.”
In Part One of this three-part series, we begin to unravel how these cases first came onto law enforcement’s radar, the early victims, and the growing realization that something far more sinister was unfolding across the West Coast.
