Last week I shared that I was stuck in freeze - overwhelmed by what's unfolding in this country and unable to process it all.
This week, I want to offer something to actually help.
In a women's circle I held this week, I heard the same thing from woman after woman: it's not just the collective crisis. It's holding our personal lives - struggling marriages, financial stress, grief, health challenges - while the world crumbles around us. The weight of both is too much.
And underneath it all, the same question: Am I doing this right?
In this episode, I explore what freeze actually is (a biological survival response, not a character flaw), why our nervous systems are shutting down right now, and the shadow patterns that pile on when we're stuck - the Self-Doubter and Perfectionist telling us we're not doing enough.
Then I lead you through a 3-minute somatic shaking practice to help move the stuck energy and interrupt the freeze. Based on how animals naturally complete the stress cycle, this practice is simple, accessible, and something you can return to whenever you feel yourself going numb.
You don't have to hold it all perfectly. You just have to keep moving through.
