In our last sermon in Romans, Paul is going to give us living illustrations of those who are doing the very sacrificing for their God that he had described earlier. These heroes of the faith that through great love are giving all that they can to see the gospel go out to all corners of the earth, but also to upbuild, encourage and support one another in the church. We hope to draw form the victory that we have in the Lord Jesus by looking to those who have gone before us, using them as models of the faith, not to feel discouraged, but to work all the more and give all the more of whatever gift and capacity God has given us, in order that we too can take our stand for the Lord Jesus, for our God and the love that we have for one another in the church.
