Phil Scardingo is the son of an Italian migrant to South Australia. He was educated as a teacher but after working in the family business early on decided he loved it and hasn't left. 

Phil has been running the family business since the 90s and has experienced the challenges of 'the recession we had to have' along with the GFC and the standard trials of business.  

Phil now heads up Gripset, Monsta and Axis and has no plans of slowing down in any way.  

Clint found plenty of parallels with Phil and this definitely won't be the last time you see these two together.
