Professor Brian Davey (Mathematics, La Trobe University) on the full versus strong problem, a problem which dates back to the beginnings of the theory of natural dualities in 1980. He presents a survey of the history of the problem, its solution in 2007, and of subsequent attempts to fully understand the nature of full dualities.
