This week is a summary on one of the chapters of a book Tracy was re-reading whilst on holiday, Nigel Botterill's "The Entrepreneurs Marketing and Sales System". Nigel's chapter on The Foundations explores 11 fundamental blocks of marketing for any business and it’s those that are going to be the subject of today’s episode. 

 

11 FUNDAMENTAL BLOCKS OF MARKETING

  1. Review all of your marketing assets. Is the objective clear and not boring? Is it relatable and personal? Is there a clear call to action?
  2. Are you on the Google ‘My Business’ Listing. 
  3. What is your follow up process? Do you have one?
  4. Remarketing and pixel tracking. This is when you put code on your website for Google and Facebook that helps to get your name in front of people. 
  5. Your price reviews. Prices don’t always stay in the same place for long.
  6. Systemising your review process. 
  7. Your marketing calendar. This outlines for the year what your marketing campaigns are, are you planning in advance?
  8. Your knowledge centre. Passionately educate your audience with one piece of content per week. 
  9. Your neighbourhood cards. If you visit clients at home or in the workplace you should be popping your business card through the doors of the places nearby. 
  10. Your use of LinkedIn. If you are a business to business person then it is becoming so important. 
  11. Answer your phone.
