The Funnies: Lola and Raul's Exciting VBAC Better Next Birth
This is a funny episode folks. Prepare to chuckle wherever you are. Lola and Raul, a lovely funny duo with the burning desire for a better birth after a chaotic hospital cesarean, share their hectic and insanity-inducing first birth. Deployed for part of the pregnancy, Raul was not able to support her when Lola was diagnosed and medicated for gestational diabetes. NOW she shares her incredible journey with her 2nd baby, and how it caused him to lose 30 pounds and she’s become a farmer who wants to grow fruits and veggies on a biosphere!
Lola’s story is a very common one: She recounts medical interventions that were introduced and lack of control and information she needed.
Raul shares his experiences during Lola's first birth and his perspective as a partner. He literally has a new sense of confidence after supporting Lola to have a better second birth.
Through better education, personal attention, and lifestyle changes, Raul and Lola made dietary adjustments during Lola's second pregnancy, resulting in a healthier lifestyle. Plus we laugh a ton on this one.
