Welcome to Episode 21 of the Game is the Game.
I've been fortunate in life to meet an array of inspirational individuals across varied professions. The Game is the Game is an opportunity for them to tell their stories and hopefully inspire others to find their calling.
On today's episode I sit down with my first returning guest and friend, Ed Riman aka Hilang Child.
Ed is a professional musician and a successful solo artist in his own right recording under the moniker Hilang Child. His acclaimed albums 'Years' and 'Every Mover' have led to success both here and abroad.
He has recently released his third studio album, Gratitude Journal and I wanted to sit down with him to talk through the process of making a new album especially as it has been four years since Every Mover dropped.
We spoke about the doubts, fears and joy that recording a new album can bring. The aspects of the process that the consumer doesn't see when the finished product drops.
There's more meaning to the titling of this album - it really is a gratitude journal.
You dont have to be involved in music to appreciate this episode as this may well inspire you in other ways.
