The Gaming Nexus Show

This is a moment I will never forget. Almost 6 years into this business, and I can check another dream of mine to come true. Fresh off of getting back from the WWE2K26 event at WWE Headquarters (which was another crazy thing that happened), I was given the opportunity to interview #PatriciaSummersett. She is the first official voice of Zelda, from the #TheLegendofZelda series. The Legend of Zelda is also celebrating 40 years, and Patricia has been voicing Zelda for ten of those years. She has voice Zelda in Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and the two spinoffs of each, Age of Calamity, and Age of Imprisonment. She has also voiced characters in games like Rainbox Six Seige, Assassin's Creed, and Far Cry. We talked about everything from the Olympics, to her band, and of course, The Legend of Zelda. Check it out!

Adriyan Rae is nominated for a Golden Joystick Award! We were honored to interview the voice behind Hazel Flood from the game South of Midnight. South of Midnight released earlier 2025, by Compulsion Games and Xbox. Joseph was more than excited to interview Adriyan, and this may be a cheap plug to go vote for her here.

Extra special thanks to the PR Machine Grace Topalian for the oportunity!

On this episode, Kelly is joined by two members of her adventuring party, Pepperina Sparklegem, and Tari Waves, as they discuss their history with streaming Dungeons & Dragons and what it's like to be a female tabletop gamer. Then you get a front row seat for the recap of Gen Con 2025!

When Kelly and Joe are away, the dungeon masters will play. The Gaming Nexus show gives you a behind the scenes look of how we started a Dungeons & Dragons campaign in our own slack channel. So when we say Dungeon, we mean Gaming Nexus, When we say masters, we mean Editor-In-Chief Eric Hauter, our in house IT of everything John Yan, and rapper turned Oregonean Randy McCalister. Or is it Kalista? Kalista?

Kelly and Joe are going to two of their favorite conventions. Kelly is headed to Gencon in Indianapolis, while Joe is headed to EVO in Las Vegas, and they're going at the exact same time. So Austin Creed, choose your own adventure.

Kelly and Joe talk about iconic games, the review process, and what it takes to get you out of that comments section, and into some game reviewing.

Kelly and Joe sit down and discuss the difference between a professional gamer, and a casual. The answer is a LOT of money. Plus, they quiz each other on their "expertise", and you get to pick up what you missed since you've been gone.

On this episode, Kelly and Joe talk with Gaming Nexus founder John Yan, who has been with us since 1997, and has been a fan of spoilers since before the Leonardo DiCaprio version of Romeo and Juliet. We discuss why spoilers and leaks exist, and what you should do to avoid them, if you so choose.

After a hiatus, and a lot of reclaiming a podcast, we are back! The Gaming Nexus Show is back with a new co-host, Kelly Gray! On this episode, we talk about the Nintendo Switch 2, (recorded 4-12-25), and we get to know a little bit about Kelly and what drove her to the Gaming Nexus team!
