Suffice it to say, God’s power on display through Jesus is dynamic and disruptive. Yet, there’s a growing gap between the power of Jesus and the perception of Jesus (both in our passage and in our city). A gap between who Jesus is and who he’s understood to be. And Mark will not let up on this point.
