Did you know that millions of Muslims have moved to this country in the past few years and their population is expected to double in the next 20 years? Whether you are aware or not, Islam and its followers are something you will need to interact with in the near future. Joshua’s declaration still echoes today: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” The choice is yours.

There are many practical things that a believer can do with their money to honor the Lord. One of those is to help the poor and the needy. But how do you help the poor and the needy? What if some of the things you're doing with good intention are actually hurting people.

I believe that when people give, their hearts are full of compassion, but are they full of wisdom? In this episode we endeavor to help the believer develop their ideas on poverty alleviation. How do we help the poor and the needy, but also dignify them? How do we alleviate suffering, but not just give handouts? How do we develop someone's financial situation and their spiritual situation? All these things will be considered and discussed inthis episode of our series Freakishly Generous.
