We often listen to competing voices that promise satisfaction but ultimately lead to emptiness. Whether it is the pursuit of pleasure, performance, possessions, position, or general busyness, these things can subtly crowd out the voice of God. Jesus identifies himself as the gate, the only true source of spiritual nourishment and safety. He offers us not just an abundant life, but an abiding life that stays with us wherever we go.
