Kandi is a Reiki Master, Certified Crystal Master, Certified Soul Shift Healer, Certified Alchemist and Certified Elemental Healer. She continues to work on developing new skills, including continually studying crystals and herbs, and their uses in paranormal and everyday life.

Kandi had multiple experiences with her husband, Derek, which launched her into the Paranormal Field. She enjoys using equipment and trigger objects to communicate and interact with spirits. Through her multiple years working at a cemetery, she has developed empathetic communication skills that help her in dealing with clients. Furthermore, Kandi enjoys researching haunted locations and their history. In 2023, together with Derek she founded From the Ashes Paranormal Team.

Kandi is the event coordinator for the Haunted Rock IslandRoadhouse. In 2023 they hosted the first annual Haunted Rock Island Paracon, brining in over 1,600 people.
