I thoroughly enjoy the holidays which occur between November and January. What a great way to wind down from the year and prepare ourselves for the new one. If you're like me, I find ways to make the most out of this time. I decorate, watch movies, plan grown up playdates and of course read/listen to heartwarming stories.

Well this year I wasn't able to find any new stories for Thanksgiving, there just aren't as many as there are for Christmas and even New Years! So in the absence of material, I decided to create one. You know what they say, "necessity is the mother of invention". Hence The Gathering.

Meet Adeline, matriarch of the Atwood family who is not able to stay out of her family's business, even from beyond the grave. Watching from her HC (Heavenly Communicator) device she is unhappy with how her once close knit family has been strained since her departure from earth. Her family needs her now more than ever and not even an eternal thing like her death is going to stop her from bringing them together again. 

Will she be successful or are her arms too short to reach them from Heaven?
