Henry welcomes Neil Gibson to the show. Neil is the founder of Twisted Comics & co-writer of JRD: The Lost Legion comic book. It's the first comic book from John Rhys-Davies where he not only is a co-creator & co-writer, but he is also the main character in the book! Then, San Diego Comic-Con's David Glanzer returns to the show to talk about SAM: Storytelling Across Media, a one-day symposium at the Comic-Con Museum for aspiring artists, writers and professionals.

This year's Halloween Episode starts with Henry San Miguel & Hiefy, also known as The Haunted Barber on Instagram, talking about Halloween pasts and how their favorite holiday has changed over the years. Then, it's all real-life ghost stories for your Halloween listening! You'll hear stories sent in by you, our listeners, as well as from Amanda (aka The Spooky Storyteller on IG), Amy Linsamouth, Sylents, and Geek Off The Street's Trent Tucker. Plus, you'll hear about Halloween history from Hiefy.

On this week's regular episode, Henry welcomes Chris Anastas & JP Ouellette. Chris & JP developed the ScareScore app, designed to measure how frightened (or not) horror film viewers are....but it's not just for horror films. Or for just films, as you'll hear them explain. Then, it's a new & spooky selection for the Book Club, including a chat with author T.N. Trainer. Plus, a special announcement regarding YOUR ghost stories for the Halloween Episode!

On this month's Issues of the Day, Henry San Miguel is joined in-studio by the Nerdy Navajo, Shanclen & Geek Off The Street's Trent Tucker. Wathing the new Carrie series on Prime Video made Henry think about something: Writers keep using the same lazy trope of add trauma, victimhood or oppression and voila: You have a new version of an old story. Is that the formula for a relevant remake or is it just lazy writing? Then, as we get close to Halloween week, the guys share their lists of must-watch scary movies for Halloween. Is yours on their lists?

The Geek Speak Show returns from break! Henry starts this all-new episode by talking about why Halloween is his favorite holiday and what type of Halloween does he love? It's something he's never shared before and his story explains the sound of the Geek Speak Treats episodes and Halloween Episode over the years. Then, he welcomes Marc Scott Zicree back to the show to talk about his newest project, The Showrunners Network. Plus a new Book Club selection perfect for the Spooky Season and info on how you can have your ghost story featured in this year's Halloween Episode.

For the final Geek Speak Classics, Henry goes back to 2018 and a conversation with Matt Schrader. Matt is the creator & narrator of Blockbuster, a six-part bio-pod detailing the story of how Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and John Williams created the term "blockbuster" with Jaws, Star Wars and John Williams' score for both.

This week, Geek Speak Classics goes waaayyy back to Season 1. This was back when the show was called The Geek Speak Radio Show and was a live, two-hour show, not a podcast. This is the second hour of the second day, when the topic of video game addiction was discussed with author Ryan Van Cleave and his book, Unplugged: My Journey Into The Dark World of Video Game Addiction. Plus, Henry explains how YOU can be a part of this year's Halloween Episode.

While The Geek Speak Show studio installs new upgrades, you'll be able to listen to past episodes or segments. The first Geek Speak Classics features three segments about Batman. First, you'll hear part of a longer chat with Michael Uslan. Michael is responsible for all Batman films since Tim Burton's 1989 Batman to now. Then, director Brett Culp talks about Batman inspiring people facing adversaties in their lives, as seen in his documentary, Legends of the Knight. Finally, Henry goes back to a few days before San Francisco transformed into Gotham City & was saved from supervillains by Bat Kid. Patricia Wilson from The Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation talks about how The City By The Bay came together to make the wish of then-10-year-old Miles Scott come true.

They discuss the 60th Anniversary of Star Trek and what the future of Star Trek may look like...no, what it should look like. What can Paramount/Skydance do to bring in the generations that are closer to the 23rd Century than the long-time fans were? Then, they look forward to Star Wars' 50th Anniversary by talking about where it should go under new creative leadership.

The Geek Speak Show will be taking a three-week break and return in October with all new episodes.

This is The Geek Speak Show's Star Trek60 celebration! Henry starts the episode by sharing how Star Trek first came into his life. It's not how you would think, as you'll hear in his story. Then, he plays the opening remarks from Rod Roddenberry from the Star Trek60 panel at San Diego Comic-Con. He's joined by Joe Sikoryak to talk about how Star Trek influenced (and arguably created) the fan & convention culture we see today. You can watch this interview on the show's YouTube channel.
