On the Sunday before Nativity, the genealogy from St. Matthew's Gospel is read. This is a "rouges gallery" of people, and the spiritual meaning is clear. God can make anything good. He is always in control. We have no excuses if we are bad. This is not a reason to stop trying, only this will cause us to fall. If we try, God will make the bad good. This is truly good news!
